"Great Stone Dragon, have you awakened?"

I can not find the camera to get some new pictures to go with my post. I think the spouse has it somewhere. Well, it may be time to come out of winter hibernation. KC and I went to the Zoo today. He was more responsive than ever before and it was really quite fun. His favorite animal of the day was..I forget the name..,but they looked like a cross between a baby deer and a rabbit. He kept escaping my hand to run back to the deer-rabbit enclosure. My favorite, ever since the show "Meerkats" on TLC, has been the meerkats. They've separated the mating pair from the grown pups so there are now two locations to see meerkats. The mother meerkat seems a lot more at ease now. Last time she was pawing profusely at certain spots on the glass as to say, "get me out of here, these pups are driving me crazy."
I also made dinner from scratch, got KC ready for bed by myself since the husband is staying late at school tonight, and washed the dishes and swept the kitchen floor. I think that constitutes waking from hibernation. I feel pretty good about what I accomplished today.
I do feel a little sad that the hubby had already eaten pizza when I was going to bring him a dinner that I had put quite a bit of effort into. I put the leftovers in the fridge after KC and I ate. Maybe the hub will enjoy the leftovers tomorrow for lunch. It has been a long day, but I can be independent. Haven't seen the other half since Seven O'clock this morning. I think I'll go to bed now and wish him a good day tomorrow morning.
